iconXprit v.2.x provides almost the same functions as v.1.3.1 (OSX 10.5 Finder's plugin) and more.
Once installed, ctrl-click (or right-click) an item in the Finder to Get its contextual menu including "
iconXprit". Then, select the menu item (click once) to get the full
iconXprit service menu. To skip the first step, you can assign a keyboard shortcut to "
iconXprit" (e.g. ⇧⌘X; cf. "Services Preferences…" under the Finder menu).
For easier and quicker use, it is recommended to launch
iconXprit on the system start-up and keep its status visible in the menubar, though these settings can be changed by opening
iconXprit's preferences.
What's new in v.2.2:
- Accepts drag & drop of a desktop item on the program icon (directly or in the Dock) to open the editor.
- Option "Terminate after the last window is closed" is added to be used with the option "Show in Dock".
- The message panel with a selection of existing images to confirm which to be replaced.
- Several other mostly internal adjustments (e.g. to minimize influences of devices on icon color).
- The installer now keeps a custom icon if any attached to
iconXprit ;-)
